Soluroc: Stop Costly Mining Wear Before It Hits Production and Drives Up Maintenance Costs #397
Wear and abrasion are ongoing challenges in mining, affecting equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and production efficiency. Without the right monitoring and protection, critical wear points can deteriorate unnoticed until they lead to equipment damage, unplanned downtime, or expensive repairs.
In this Mining NOW episode, host Jerrod Downey speaks with Bill Lee, VP Sales & Marketing at Soluroc, and Liam Fuller, Capital Projects Sales Lead at Soluroc, about how mining operations can take a more proactive approach to managing abrasion and protecting critical equipment.
The conversation examines how Soluroc identifies high-wear areas and critical pinch points, develops targeted abrasion solutions, and uses wear monitoring to help operators recognize potential problems earlier. By focusing on vulnerable equipment and addressing wear before it escalates, mining companies can better manage maintenance requirements, reduce production disruptions, and improve equipment performance.
Bill and Liam also discuss Soluroc’s business growth and its ambition to become one of Canada’s largest abrasion solutions companies. Strategic partnerships and acquisitions are part of this broader vision, helping expand the company’s capabilities and strengthen its position in the mining industry.
For mining professionals focused on reliability, maintenance, wear protection, and operational efficiency, this episode offers insight into the challenges of controlling abrasion in demanding mining environments and the value of addressing wear before it affects production.
